The value of a smile

Have you ever thought about the value of a smile.
It enriches those who receive, without making poorer those who give.
It takes just a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts for years.
None is so rich or so mighty, that he can get along without it, and none is so poor, that he cannot be made rich by it.
A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in business and is the countersign of friendship.

More than the above it brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and is nature´s best antidote for trouble.
Yet ist cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen.
For it is something, that is of no value to anyone, until it is given away.
Some people are too tired to give you a smile.
Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he, who has no more to give.

Der Wert eines Lächelns!

Hast Du jemals über den Wert eines Lächelns nachgedacht?
Es macht die reicher, die es bekommen ohne die ärmer zu machen, die es geben.
Es dauert nur einen Moment, aber die Erinnerung an ein Lächeln hält oft jahrelang an.
Niemand ist so reich, oder so mächtig, dass er nicht ohne es auskommen könnte und
niemand ist so arm, dass er nicht durch ein Lächeln reich gemacht werden könnte.
Ein Lächeln bringt Glück in ein zu Hause, geschäftlich guten Willen in eine Firma und
es ist das Zeichen der Freundschaft.
Mehr als das Übrige bringt es das Nötige zu den Armen, Beifall zu den Entmutigten,
Sonnenschein den Traurigen und es ist das beste natürliche Gegenmittel für Probleme.
Bis jetzt konnte es nicht gekauft, erbettelt, geborgt oder gestohlen werden.
Für manche ist es etwas, dass keinen Wert mehr hat, bis sie es nicht einmal hergegeben haben.
Manche Leute sind zu müde, Dir ein Lächeln zu schenken.
Schenke Ihnen eines von Dir, denn niemand braucht ein Lächeln so dringend wie die, die keines mehr herzugeben haben.
