Barbora Maresova: Life is why I wake up.
When I wake up in the morning I do so because I have something to live for. I live for life. Makes absolutely no sense, right?!
Sometimes nonsense makes the most sense.
One day I will die. It might be tomorrow, maybe in 90 years, or maybe some other time. No matter when that day comes, I want to be able to say that I have lived a life.
I want to be able to say that I have gotten the most out of my life; that I have lived through ups and downs; that I have enjoyed and suffered; that I have smiled and cried.
Everyday when I wake up I do so because I am curious about life. Little kids are curious about everything. They can see the miracles in the everyday life. However when we grow older we tend to lose that curiosity and fall into a routine life.
I want to stay a kid all my life and be curious about what the world is going to look like when I open my eyes.
Life is full of colors, the art of living is to find a way how to enjoy those colors.
It does not matter if it’s a rainy or a sunny day - it is a day and the only thing we can do about it is enjoy it.
A smile can make my day bright even if the sky is dark. When I smile the world smiles back and that is the power each one of us has. Happiness comes
then when I am able to receive it and what is a better sign of being ready than having a smile on my face?
Everyday when I wake up I show life that I am able, able to smile, able to live.
C.S. Lewis asked “Why love if losing hurts so much?” and answered “We love to know that we are not alone.”
I did not know what he meant until I was standing infront of the choice either to love and knowing that it will hurt or to distance myself and let go.
I stayed and loved and got hurt but you know what it was worth it. Love is always worth it because all the smiles it gives me are more powerful than the tears.
Love is worth it because it lets me know that I am capable of loving; that I am capable of feeling; that my heart is capable to open up to the world; that I am alive. Everyday when I wake up I do so because life is beautiful. I want to see, feel, hear, and smell that beauty.
